Dan’s background is in the automotive, aerospace, Textile and commercial products industries. He served on the corporate production engineering management Team at BF Goodrich / Rohr Industries and was an Industrial Engineer with the Teledyne Corporation. Dan founded Tennessee Financial Systems, a distributor of software for financial institutions and manufacturers, and served as its Founder and CEO.

DON WEATHERS

Founder

Don Weathers has over thirty years of experience in operational and leadership positions. His background includes extensive experience in turnaround and restructuring, logistics, business and strategy development, materials management, lean manufacturing, systems development and implementation, personnel development, supplier development, plant consolidations and relocations, and others. Don has worked at numerous levels ranging from shop floor management to executive level positions.

Don interacts well with people at all levels of the organization which has been a key element in the successful projects he has led. Don’s involvement in the value stream includes all facets, such as due diligence projects for private equity companies and corporate/private investors, business plan development, assistance with the funding of startups, lean plant layouts, employee training, plan implementation, materials management, performance measurements, and ongoing operations. Don is an enthusiastic leader that gets results by involving and teaching the people he works with order to ensure success both during the implementation and after his involvement is complete.

ERIC RICHEY

Principal and Global Technology Leader

Eric is a multi-industry executive, innovator, and business leader whose successes have spanned national and international industries and business sectors including Foreign/Federal/State/Local governments & government agencies, Energy, Gaming, Telecommunications, Consumer Retail, Entertainment, Media, and Marketing.

His experience includes many companies such as Deloitte and Touche, Williams Energy Services, Central Bank, CGI, Central Parking Corporation, United Way, Active Network, Annex Capital, CIRI, Vector Capital, Sealaska, and others.

Eric’s expertise in identification and successful turn-around of struggling but high potential technology, consulting, and product development organizations has been precedent-setting here in the United States and most recently led to one of the most successful tech company turnarounds in the State Government solutions industry.

Alternatively, his work in Media & Marketing arena led to the establishment and rapid growth of a U.S.-based Emmy Award winning and humanitarian-focused production company that developed and implemented new approaches to media delivery, product development and direct product marketing strategies.

Eric received B.S. degree in Physics/Astrophysics from University of Wyoming. He is a sought-after public speaker in both Hi-Tech and Media/Marketing industries.

RAY GUNN

Principal

Ray Gunn

Ray Gunn is a seasoned CEO, Financial and Operating Executive and Board Director with a 36-year background in finance, business strategy and development along with exceptional deal making and team building skills.  He has broad industry experience as a CEO, Financial and Operating Executive, Board Director including over the last 28 years acting as the principal financial and strategic architect in the successful formation, funding, growth and ultimate sale/IPO of 10 early stage and middle market companies. 

Prior experience includes funding and commercializing a hi-tech manufacturing plant floor product-line as a senior financial/operating officer with Automation Data Corp., a privately held automotive supply company and president/COO of a subsidiary of Central Holding Company, where he co-founded and ran 5 of the first HUD approved mortgage banking joint venture programs in the Country.  Ray was engaged by the FHLBB of San Francisco to lead the successful turnaround of a small S&L in Nevada.  He was a financial manager with Pulte Home Corporation and practiced as an emerging business specialist with Deloitte & Touche.

Ray has been recognized as a Leader & Innovator by Lawrence Technological University and Grant Thornton and an influential business leader in Crain’s 40 under 40.  Ray is a Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree in Management at Oakland University (“OU”) and pursued his Masters in Taxation degree at Walsh College. Ray also holds two US Patents one in the telecommunications field and the other in the food manufacturing space.

In 2007, Ray co-founded and was the Managing Partner of Wingspan Capital Partners, an entity formed inside a new family office based in Birmingham, Michigan. In 4 years, Ray formed the Company, established an Advisory Board of local and national business professionals, developed the firm’s investment criteria and strategy, developed the deal flow and portfolio managed the acquisition of 11 companies throughout the Midwest.

Ray was president and CEO of Clarity Technologies, Inc, where he assembled experienced management and world class technology teams to develop, commercialize and brand Clarity’s proprietary voice enabling software technology. His team developed Clarity into one of Michigan’s fastest growing technology companies, earning 9 prestigious industry awards, including the distinguished “2004 Technology Company of the Year” award in Michigan.
